Terms and conditions
By accepting our quotation you are agreeing to be bound by the terms and conditions of Clearvue Window Cleaning.
You are required to pay within 7 days of the cleaning date, to ensure this happens we accept cash, bank transfer or Paypal whichever is easier.
If non-payment exceeds 7 days Clearvue Window Cleaning will add a £5.00 late payment charge to cover additional administrative costs, if you fail to pay within the stated time, unless an agreed arrangement has been made. Clearvue Window Cleaning reserve the right to suspend your cleaning and replace you on the round with another customer.
If we then fail to receive the monies within 28 days we have the right to contact a collection agency to recover the debt, you are liable for all related charges, collection agency fees and court related fees.
If you cancel after just the first clean, we will charge you £25.00, the charge is for the “one off” clean price of £20.00 plus £5.00 admin costs, we will instruct a debt collection agency to recover this amount plus costs.
If you are no longer a customer of Clearvue Window Cleaning, any money owed is immediately payable.
Our pure water systems work in all weathers, therefore weather conditions are not an acceptable reason for postponing/cancelling services. We offer an all year round regular service; we will clean your property in all weather conditions including rain and very low temperatures. High winds and snow do affect our services and schedule.
Ingress and Egress
Should we be unable to access any part of your property due to locked gates we will only clean the accessible areas such as the front and sides and charge the same price as an allotted time has been reserved to clean your property, we will be unable to return to clean to restricted area until the next scheduled clean. To avoid this please ensure we have the correct telephone number for our sms text reminder service which we send out the day before each visit.
If it is deemed safe, we will from time to time gain access to your property by unlocking an access gate, if you do not wish us to do this please could you send us a text so we can keep your preference on our records.
We will endeavour to clean all windows, but if we deem any window/windows to be inaccessible or unsafe to clean, we will not clean them.
We will not carry out unsafe working practices; please do not ask us to climb fences, roofs or garages.
Due to insurance liabilities we are unable to move obstacles such as but not exclusive to flower pots, garden furniture etc. if these or any other items restrict our access to the windows, we will not clean them.
Due to the likely event that you have no access to the rear of the property, we do offer a “front only” service. If you do still wish to have the rear windows cleaned we would have to pull our hose and any other equipment needed through the property, whilst we try to maintain a clean and careful practice, we cannot guarantee we will not make any marks on carpets, walls etc.
Clearvue Window Cleaning do ask our customers to state if the services requested are a “one off clean”. If not it is assumed a verbal maintenance contract has been initiated for a 4 weekly window cleaning and you will be obliged to have a minimum of 2 cleans before a cancellation of services can be requested. The total price of the 2 cleans will become payable in full if you cancel our services before the 2 cleans have been completed.
If you postpone any scheduled cleaning services throughout the colder months, a “one off” clean price will be charged for commencement of services.
We do not accept liability for damage caused by decorative or structural defects at your property, such as but not limited to, ill-fitting doors, windows, fascia’s, guttering, conservatory trims, open, unsecured windows doors, leaking seals, rotting frames, flaking paint or open/broken vents etc.
Scratched window sills: over time your upvc window frames will start to oxidise and slowly lose their colour, your window sills will be most affected. When we are cleaning your windows, our brush head which is made of soft plastic and nylon bristles will remove some of the oxidation, this may look like scratches but in fact it is just where the grey oxidation has been removed.
Scratched windows: The brushes we use have been specifically designed for window cleaning. There is nothing on the brush that can scratch the glass; there are no metal parts on the brush. If you feel we have scratched your glass we will invite you to handle the brush yourself and ask you to scratch the glass again. If you succeed we will pay to replace the glass.
If you wish to cancel our services you must provide at least 7 days’ notice by post, email or text before the next scheduled visit, Failure to do so will result in a 100% charge for any work scheduled within this period.
Clearvue Window Cleaning will send an SMS text the day before cleaning to remind you take care of payment if leaving it in a safe place after your windows have been cleaned and also to unlock gates and close your windows/vents for the day. This message is automated; any cancellation after this text message cannot be acted upon. Our office closes at 6.00pm
24 Hour Guarantee
Clearvue Window Cleaning offer a 24 hour guarantee against any work carried out. If you are not 100% satisfied we will come back and re-clean for free. To qualify for a free clean you must contact us within the 24 hour time period. A call out charge of £10.00 may be applied if we return to clean and we find it’s the inside of the windows that are dirty, or the double glazed unit has failed and the dirt is on the inside of the unit.
Achieving optimum cleaning results may require a few cleans, for example, detergent residues from previous traditional window cleaning methods may initially cause slight spotting, Leaching can also occur from trickle vents, beading and heavily soiled frames, however in most cases, this will cease after a couple of cleans, once the dirt is removed fully from the framed areas.
